Unfortunately, due to renters not cleaning after their events and/or damages/vandalism, we have increased our cleaning & damage deposit to $300, ($800 for events serving alcoholic beverages), and it must be paid ONLINE prior to your event. If any part of the rental agreement is not adhered to,
you will forfeit your cleaning/damage deposit in full.

Marion Grange Hall #276 Rental Agreement & Cancellation Policy
The renter agrees upon the following terms and conditions:
In consideration of permission granted by Marion Grange Hall #276 allowing me/my organization use of the Marion Grange Hall #276 building, parking lot and grounds (“The Facility”), I represent, covenant and agree, on behalf of myself and my heirs, assigns, and any other person claiming by, under or through me, as follows,
I accept and voluntarily incur all risks of any injuries, damages, or harm which arise during or result from my use of the The Facility, regardless of whether or not caused in whole or in part by the negligence or other fault of The Facility, its officers, members, volunteers, employees, contractors and/or its trustees, affiliates, agents or insurers ("Released Parties"). I waive all claims against any of the Released Parties for any injuries, damages, losses or claims, whether known or unknown, which arise during or result from my use of The Facility, regardless of whether or not caused in whole or part by the negligence or other fault of any of the Released Parties. I release and forever discharge the Released Parties from all such claims. I agree to indemnify and hold the Released Parties harmless from all losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorneys' fees and other litigation costs and expenses) incurred by any of the Released Parties as a result of any claims or suits that I (or anyone claiming by, under or through me) may bring against any of the Released Parties to recover any losses, liabilities, costs, damages, or expenses which arise during or result from my use of The Facility, regardless of whether or not caused in whole or part by the negligence or other fault of any of the Released Parties.
The Facility is rented for the reservation period secured by online payment in full as of the date of the rental application. The payments made online includes the amount of the rent due, plus a $300* damage and cleaning deposit (*for events that include alcoholic beverages, there will be an additional $500 damage deposit). Any changes to the rental period and/or amount of rent due must be negotiated with a Marion Grange Hall #276 officer and/or the Marion Grange Hall #276 Rental Coordinator.
The renter shall (a) Keep The Facility, including but not limited to the hall, kitchen, bathrooms, entry, building and grounds in clean and sanitary condition; (b) Not smoke inside the building; (c) Not apply staples, tacks, nails, screws, or tape to the walls; (d) Empty all garbage cans including bathrooms and place trash into dumpster so that lid closes completely (excess garbage must be removed from the premises by the renter); (e) Properly operate all electrical appliances, heating, plumbing facilities and fixtures; (f) Not intentionally or negligently destroy, deface, damage, impair or remove any items of The Facility, including but not limited to their appurtenances, facilities, equipment, furniture, furnishings, and the appliances, nor permit any member of the renter’s group, family, invitee, licensee or any other person on the premises during the rental period to do so; (g) Return tables and chairs to their designated location; (h) Dustmop & wetmop all floors; (i) Provide all cleaning products except for cleaning products specific to cleaning the floors; (j) Park vehicles on the gravel area only (no vehicles are permitted to be parked or driven on the grass, no vehicles are permitted to be parked on 278th Avenue East, and no vehicles are permitted to be parked on the shoulder of Sumner Buckley Highway); (k) Remove all debris from within and outside of the building, including but not limited to balloons, confetti, glitter, chewing gum, candy wrappers, cigarette butts, bottle caps, food waste, and any and all forms of litter; (l) Turn off all interior lights, close all windows, set thermostats to 58 degrees, and lock all exterior doors upon departure.
The Marion Grange Hall #276 shall (a) Supply renter with heat, electricity and cleaning products to clean floors (floor cleaning products are in the closet in the kitchen); (b) Supply renter with access to front door; (c) Provide 4 rolls of toilet paper and two rolls of paper towels for each of the two bathrooms, 2 rolls of paper towels for the kitchen, and 1 garbage liner for each of the 5 garbage bins (renter is responsible for providing any and all additional consumables required).
The renter has deposited the sum of $300* as a damage and cleaning deposit (*$800 for events serving alcoholic beverages). All or a portion of such deposit may be retained by the Marion Grange Hall #276 at their discretion to offset the cost of repairs and/or cleaning. Any refund of any portion of such deposit is conditioned as follows, (a) Renter shall fully perform obligations hereunder; (b) Tenant shall occupy The Facility for term agreed to only (no early access or late departures); (c) Tenant shall clean, remove garbage and return The Facility to its initial condition; (d) Tenant shall not leave litter of any kind (this includes cigarette butts and/or chewing gum in the parking lot or lawn/gardens areas).
If the renter cancels the reservation within 72 hours after full payment is made, they will receive a full refund within 30 days of cancellation. If the renter cancels the reservation more than two weeks prior to the reserved dates, but more than 72 hours after full payment is made, the renter will receive 80% of the total amount paid in refund within 30 days of cancellation. If the renter cancels their reservation more than 72 hours after full payment is made, but within 2 weeks of the reserved dates, they will forfeit 100% of the total amount paid. If the Marion Grange Hall #276 cancels the reservation, the renter will receive a full refund within 5 days of cancellation. The Marion Grange Hall #276 reserves the right to cancel reservations for any reason at any time, and will have no obligation to the renter (other than refund of rent paid) if the cancellation is due to weather, national emergency or damage to The Facility that prevents The Facility from being used and/or rented. Renters agree to arbitration for any disputes that may arise concerning this policy.
In submitting an application to rent the Marion Grange Hall #276, or to rent any portion of The Facility, the renter agrees to the terms and conditions of this Rental Agreement & Cancellation Policy.
